• Flooding prompts opening of care centers in Northern Michigan (9and10news.com) — Residents in Mio dealing with flooding can go to Tri Point Church of God on W. Miller Road, now operating as a congregate care center. Additional shelters and warming centers are open in Cadillac, Alpena, Rogers City, Cheboygan, Grayling, and Traverse City, offering safe space, warmth, and even free refreshments for first responders and those displaced by high water.
