• Muskegon Heights picks school board members via write-in election (wgvunews.org) — Muskegon Heights voters filled five school board seats entirely through write-in votes this week, with fewer than 400 votes cast. Calvin Matthews, Anderson Robinson, Joe Rone and Christopher Thomas won four-year terms, while Mark Glover won a partial term ending in December 2028. The board manages legacy debt, while a separate charter system operates the city's public schools.
