• Second defendant pleads guilty in countywide fraud case (argus-press.com) — Owosso residents are at the center of a large Shiawassee County fraud case, with one co-defendant now pleading guilty to conducting a criminal enterprise involving stolen and altered checks. Prosecutors say more than $50,000 was taken from at least 11 victims, including local businesses, and both defendants must pay restitution. Upcoming sentencings will determine how long they remain behind bars.
