Announces Opening of New Southfield Location (oaklandcounty115.com) — Oakland County Michigan Works! has opened a larger, consolidated Southfield career center while continuing to operate its Pontiac office, which helps thousands of job seekers each year. Pontiac residents can still get free coaching, training referrals, resume help, and employer connections in person or virtually by contacting the nearest center and exploring the county’s schedule of workshops online.
   

4. '90s Rock Band Darkest Hour Makes ‘Exclusive' Announcement Before North America Tour (parade.com) — Metal band Darkest Hour is bringing its new album tour to Pontiac’s Pike Room on Dec. 5, giving local fans a chance to catch the group live. The band is also offering a limited, signed vinyl variant through Patreon for subscribers who sign up by Sept. 30 and stay through December.
