• Four men receive life sentences for murder of Detroit-area business owner (cbsnews.com) — Four men have been sentenced to life in prison for killing a Pontiac marijuana business owner during a 2025 attempted robbery, according to Oakland County prosecutors. The victim, from Commerce Township, co-owned the Pontiac shop where he was shot. Jurors convicted the Cincinnati suspects this spring on murder and armed robbery charges after investigators traced their plan back to a cannabis festival meeting.
