• Great Lakes restoration projects advance Detroit and Rouge River cleanup efforts (stormwater.com) — A major sediment cleanup in Riverview’s Monguagon Creek–Upper Trenton Channel is set to start this year, removing and capping about 28,000 cubic yards of contaminated material. Funded through a federal–corporate partnership and led by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the project is part of broader Detroit and Rouge River restoration work that aims to undo decades of industrial pollution.
