• Local teen is youngest American girl to summit Europe's highest mountain (clickondetroit.com) — A 15-year-old Saline resident, Anna Tukin, has become the youngest American girl to reach the summit of Mount Elbrus, Europe's highest peak, after an eight-day climb in July. Inspired by a previous trek with her mom up Mount Kilimanjaro, she says mountaineering has transformed how she sees herself and the world beyond her phone.
   

• Saline Man in Critical Condition After Crash in Pittsfield Township (thesalinepost.com) — A 61-year-old Saline man is in critical condition after a three-vehicle crash Monday evening on Michigan Avenue near Warner Road in Pittsfield Township, which also injured three others. Police are still investigating and asking anyone who saw the collision or has information to contact the Pittsfield Township Police Department's tip line or front desk numbers.
   

• OL commit set to early enroll, excited to join Michigan Football (maizenbrew.com) — Saline High offensive lineman Louis Esposito, a Michigan football commit, is helping lead the Hornets' strong start while eyeing a run to Ford Field and early enrollment in Ann Arbor.
