A kickoff party at the library and a finale at Dodge Park, plus themed spirit days and local sponsors, make this a packed summer of free activities for all ages.
   

• New odor control facility will combat sewer smell near Sterling Heights neighborhood (detroitnews.com) — A long-smelly stretch near a Sterling Heights neighborhood is finally getting relief, as Macomb County will build a $2.5 million odor control facility along 15 Mile Road just east of Sterling Heights High School. The project, funded through the state budget, aims to curb hydrogen sulfide sewer odors and protect aging pipes, with construction bids expected in 2027 and work starting later that year.
