• Carlson girls swimming outlasts Grosse Ile late to repeat as Downriver Classic champions (thenewsherald.com) — Trenton's girls swim team delivered four event wins and a strong overall showing at the Downriver Classic, highlighted by standout sophomore Charlie Cheney's victories in the 200 and 500 freestyle. While Carlson narrowly repeated as team champion, Trenton and other Downriver programs, including Riverview and Grosse Ile, packed the podium across multiple races at Woodhaven High School.
