• Newaygo County opens temporary shelter as flooding forces evacuations (fox17online.com) — Flooding along the Muskegon River has led Newaygo County officials to open a temporary evacuation shelter at the Commission on Aging building in White Cloud, where power shutoffs and washed-out roads are already causing problems. Deputies are going door-to-door in low-lying areas, strongly urging residents to leave, while the sheriff works on longer-term shelter options and stresses avoiding barricaded, water-covered roads.
