• Ypsilanti Township proposes blocking water to UMich data center (michigandaily.com) — Ypsilanti Township leaders are moving to block water service for the University of Michigan’s planned $1.25 billion data center, asking the Ypsilanti Community Utilities Authority to impose a moratorium on supplying water to such facilities. The move follows growing local concern about environmental impacts, grid strain, and national security implications, and YCUA commissioners are expected to take up the moratorium at their April 22 meeting. 
• Pentagon looks to Ford and GM for help (spokesman.com) — Ypsilanti gets a brief historical spotlight here, recalling Ford’s massive Willow Run factory near the city that once produced a B-24 bomber every hour during World War II. The piece mainly explains how the Pentagon is again eyeing Ford and GM to quickly ramp up production of military components as current conflicts strain U.S. munitions supplies.
