• Short-term rental lawsuit dismissed against Apple Valley, Bloomington (hometownsource.com) — A federal judge has upheld Apple Valley's ban on residential rentals shorter than 30 days, dismissing a lawsuit that claimed the rule violated constitutional property rights. The decision means Apple Valley's ordinance, aimed at keeping residential areas from turning into commercial short-term rentals, remains in full effect, and the city has already used it to address about 15 suspected short-term rental properties.
