• Firefighters called to roof fire at Apple Valley Community Center (dailydispatch.com) — Fire crews quickly put out a roof fire at the Apple Valley Community Center Friday afternoon after someone at the nearby senior center spotted smoke. No one was inside, the blaze was contained to part of the roof, and officials say the building—currently under renovation—avoided interior damage, but residents may notice ongoing repair work.
