• Weekly Fishing Report: The walleye bite is improving ahead of Saturday's tournament (bemidjipioneer.com) — Anglers around Blackduck are seeing stronger walleye action on Blackduck Lake and nearby Gull and Island lakes, especially using leeches or crawlers in 10 to 14 feet. Crappies and bluegills are active in the shallows on Blackduck and other area lakes, and low water levels mean boaters should use extra caution.
