• Winona Cotter scores 15 unanswered runs to down Cannon Falls, advances to state semifinals (postbulletin.com) — Cannon Falls’ baseball season ended Thursday with a 15-5 loss to Winona Cotter in the Class 2A state quarterfinals in St. Cloud, despite the Bombers jumping out to a 5-0 lead. Star pitcher Ryan Hjellming left early with a shoulder injury, and Cannon Falls ultimately used six pitchers. The Bombers now move into the consolation bracket to face Minnehaha Academy on Friday.
