• Seasonal cabin destroyed by Saturday afternoon fire (timberjay.com) — A seasonal cabin near Elbow Lake in Beatty Township, north of Cook, was destroyed in a June 6 fire that also heavily damaged an older boat and several outbuildings. No one was hurt, and the Cook Fire Department, Cook Ambulance, and several neighboring agencies responded to the blaze about 15 miles north of town.
