• South Washington County Schools releases long-term substitutes (cottagegrovejournal.news) — South Washington County Schools’ board met at the Cottage Grove District Service Center to honor student ambassadors and approve several key staffing and labor contract actions. Long-term substitute contracts were formally released, and new agreements for Kids Club supervisors and bus mechanics set wage and benefit increases through 2028. Families can also note upcoming June 11 and June 25 board sessions in Cottage Grove. 
• CG Public Service Commission hears road updates, 2025 Annual Fire Report (cottagegrovejournal.news) — Cottage Grove’s Public Service Commission just reviewed major 2026 road work, including 80th Street rehab, neighborhood mill-and-overlay projects, and a future $47 million Innovation Road realignment. Commissioners also heard a detailed 2025 fire department report and discussed the city’s new e-bike ordinance, which other communities are already using as a model.
