• Police execute search warrants related to July shooting in Edina (bringmethenews.com) — Edina police say multiple high‑risk search warrants in Savage, Burnsville, and Shakopee are tied to a July 2 shooting outside the Durham Apartments near York Avenue in Edina. One victim suffered serious gunshot wounds and their condition remains unknown, while investigators have not yet announced any arrests or additional details. 
• Archbishop Hebda: Be 'beacons of light' as school shooting anniversary approaches (osvnews.com) — Archbishop Bernard Hebda is urging Twin Cities Catholics, including those in Edina, to be "beacons of light" as the first anniversary of the Annunciation School shooting approaches. He highlighted an Aug. 19 gathering in Edina and invited residents to mark Aug. 27 with prayer and acts of service alongside a Minneapolis remembrance event at Pearl Park.
