• Driver sustains life-threatening injuries in crash near Nashwauk (mesabitribune.com) — A 58-year-old Hibbing man suffered life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash Monday at the junction of Highways 65 and 169 near Nashwauk and was taken to Fairview Hospital. Two people from Grand Rapids in the other vehicle were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries; authorities say all wore seat belts, airbags deployed, and alcohol is not suspected.

• Rock Ridge's Fingeroos 20th at state golf (mesabitribune.com) — Hibbing freshman golfer Ava Sandnas wrapped up her Class AA state tournament debut in 73rd place with a two-day total of 188, competing alongside Rock Ridge’s strong squad. The event in Jordan also saw Rock Ridge junior Madison Fingeroos lead all Section 7AA golfers with a tie for 20th place, while several other Iron Range athletes gained valuable state experience.
