Parents describe the pair as the loving heart of a tight-knit childcare community and are leaning on each other while prioritizing their children's mental health. Hopkins police say the case, linked to another killing in Burnsville, is a rare and deeply shocking crime for the city. 
• Woman pleads guilty in fatal Highway 212 crash (eplocalnews.org) — A Hopkins man was killed in an April wrong-way crash on Highway 212 in Eden Prairie, and the Victoria driver has now pleaded guilty to felony criminal vehicular homicide. Prosecutors and defense will argue over a sentence between roughly five and seven years, with sentencing set for October. The case highlights ongoing concerns about impaired driving in the west metro.
