• Man faces first-degree murder charge in killing of missing Jordan woman (bringmethenews.com) — Jordan residents are learning that a local man now faces a first-degree murder indictment in the fatal shooting of his former partner, whose body was found at a Jordan property in early 2025. Scott County prosecutors say a grand jury upgraded the charge after reviewing evidence gathered by Jordan Police and other investigators.

Ben Bakeberg of Jordan backed a Republican plan that failed on a party-line vote.
