• Man faces first-degree murder charge in killing of missing Jordan woman (bringmethenews.com) — Jordan residents are learning that a local man now faces a first-degree murder indictment in the fatal shooting of his former partner, whose body was found at a Jordan property in early 2025. Scott County prosecutors say a grand jury upgraded the charge after reviewing evidence gathered by Jordan Police and other investigators. 
• House Republican school safety package stalls; DFL proposal up next (mn.gov) — Jordan-area residents may want to watch a new school safety debate at the Capitol, where Rep. Ben Bakeberg of Jordan backed a Republican plan that failed on a party-line vote. Lawmakers are clashing over K–3 suspensions, mental health funding, and how flexible school safety dollars should be before a competing DFL proposal comes up next.
