• Kenyon Sportsman's Club Inc. celebrates 50 years (wanamingomn.com) — Kenyon residents are invited to the Kenyon Sportsman’s Club’s 50th anniversary celebration on June 20, featuring open shooting, family activities, food, and prizes at the clubhouse on 10th Ave. The club also offers regular pistol and trap shoots, youth firearm safety, and memberships with monthly meetings for anyone interested in outdoor recreation and training.
   

• New law modifies residential mortgage loan fees and penalties (mn.gov) — A new Minnesota law taking effect August 1 will change how certain fees and penalties apply to residential mortgage loans used strictly for investment properties. Sponsored in part by Rep. Keith Allen of Kenyon, it clarifies when state rules don’t apply and defines a specific type of investment-focused mortgage called a debt service coverage ratio loan.
