• Maple Grove looks at DEED programs on behalf of Bora Pharmaceuticals (hometownsource.com) — Maple Grove's City Council has backed state economic development applications to help Bora Pharmaceuticals expand its Upsher-Smith facility on Evenstad Drive, a $40 million project expected to add about 60 full-time jobs at $44 an hour. The city will apply for Job Creation Fund and Minnesota Investment Fund support, then pass state dollars through as a loan to the company.
   

• Plans advance for Dick's House of Sport, more in Maple Grove (finance-commerce.com) — A major new retail complex is moving closer to reality at Maple Grove Parkway and 99th Avenue, near Maple Grove Senior High, with city planners recommending approval. The 150,000-square-foot project would bring a Dick's House of Sport, Golf Galaxy, Chick-fil-A, 7 Brew, and Valvoline, representing one of the city's most significant retail developments in years if the council signs off.
