• John Thomas, 77, Obituary – 7/31/2026 (dasselcokato.com) — Mendota Heights residents are remembering John G. Thomas, 77, a former community member who later lived in Dassel and passed away peacefully at home on July 31. A Vietnam veteran and longtime U.S. Postal Service employee, he is remembered as loyal, supportive, and devoted to family and friends. A memorial service will be held August 29 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont, with livestream available.
