• FiftyNorth, YMCA approve merger effective Jan. 1 (kymnradio.net) — A major change is coming for Northfield's seniors and families as FiftyNorth and the Northfield Area Family YMCA merge on Jan. 1, 2027, creating "FiftyNorth at the YMCA." Programs for older adults will continue at the Northfield Community Resource Center while leaders explore expanded facilities, improved financial stability, and more wellness options for residents across greater Northfield. 
• Northfield girls cross country captures fourth place finish at STMA Invitational (southernminn.com) — Northfield High School's top-ranked girls cross country team grabbed a strong fourth-place finish at the highly competitive St. Michael-Albertville Invitational, led by standout runner Karmen Jagiela. Several Raiders placed in the top 50, and the team now turns its focus to the Ev Berg Invitational in Owatonna on Oct. 8, giving Northfield fans another chance to follow their success.
