• Orono Middle School 6th graders lead reading MCA participation for 2024-25 (northhennepinnews.com) — Orono Middle School’s sixth-graders led the school in participation on the 2024-25 Reading MCA, with 230 students tested and 73% reaching proficiency. Overall, 699 Orono students in grades 6–8 took the reading exam, outperforming statewide trends that show declining proficiency since before the pandemic.
   

• Greenway ends high school career as Orono, Mankato East win Class AA track titles (northhennepinnews.com) — Orono High School’s girls’ track and field team captured the Class AA state championship with 64 points, edging St. Peter by one. The meet also featured record-breaking performances from athletes across Minnesota, including standout hurdler and relay runner Maddyn Greenway and several boys’ and girls’ relay squads setting new state marks.
