• Duluth, Hermantown, Proctor and Rice Lake asked to cut water use (wdio.com) — Proctor residents are being asked to cut back on water use as the Western Lake Superior watershed, including Duluth, Hermantown, Proctor and Rice Lake, moves into a drought warning phase. Since Proctor’s drinking water comes from Lake Superior via Duluth, officials urge residents to limit lawn watering, fix leaks, and adopt simple indoor and outdoor conservation habits to help protect supplies.
