• Law Enforcement Torch Run comes through Red Wing June 18 (republicaneagle.com) — Red Wing residents can watch the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run pass through town on Thursday, June 18, with stops at Tipi Monument, Bay Point Park, St. James Hotel, and a 4 p.m. ceremony at Central Park bandshell. Local leaders including Mayor Gary Iocco, Police Chief Nick Sather, and Goodhue County Sheriff Marty Kelly will speak as Minnesota prepares to host the 2026 USA Games. 
• MnDOT to turn off overhead lights on bridges in Winona, Wabasha, Red Wing during mayfly season (wxow.com) — Drivers in Red Wing should expect darker conditions on the Highway 63 Mississippi River bridge as MnDOT temporarily shuts off overhead lights to reduce hazardous mayfly swarms. The change, also affecting bridges in Wabasha and Winona, will last several weeks until hatching subsides, so motorists are urged to slow down and stay alert.
