Worker dies in fall from roof (postbulletin.com) — A worker died Monday after falling from a roof on Oakview Drive Northeast in Rochester, where police and Mayo Clinic Ambulance responded around 9:10 a.m. Authorities say early information points to no criminal activity, but the incident remains under investigation, an important update for neighbors in northeast Rochester and local workers alike.

Man Dies in Apparent ATV Crash Southeast of Rochester (kroc.com) — An ATV operator was found dead after an apparent crash on his rural property southeast of Rochester, near Stagecoach Road SE, with firefighters from Rochester and Stewartville assisting at the scene. The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office says the ATV appears to have gone over a large drop-off, and the man was pronounced dead there while his name is still being withheld.
   

4. Rochester group gets $101K to boost dementia care in SE Minnesota (kimt.com) — A Rochester-based nonprofit, Elder Network, has been awarded $101,000 to expand dementia education and caregiver support across Rochester and nearby counties. The program will offer screenings, Memory Cafés, and culturally tailored help for Ethiopian, Nigerian, and Somali residents, with clinical backing from Mayo Clinic and Olmsted Medical Center.
   

5. Group organizes to oppose Gopher to Badger transmission line (kttc.com) — A grassroots group called No 765 Minnesota is organizing against the proposed Gopher to Badger high-voltage transmission line, which would run through communities including Rochester. Members argue the 175-mile project mainly exports power out of state while disrupting farms and rural life, and they're building support through public meetings and social media.
