• Termination of contracts for deed modified for victims of domestic violence (mn.gov) — A new Minnesota law taking effect July 1, 2026, backed by Shoreview Rep. Kelly Moller, will let certain domestic violence, sexual assault, or harassment victims ask a court to remove an abuser from a contract for deed. The change applies when the victim has been making the payments and the abusive party no longer lives at the property, aiming to protect victims’ housing stability.
