The openings are part of Chick-fil-A's previously announced expansion in Minnesota. The company said the Shakopee and Stillwater restaurants will be its second and third new Minnesota openings tied to that expansion.
The Shakopee restaurant is expected to create about 80 jobs and will be operated by Brad Peterson, a Minnesota native. The Stillwater location is expected to employ about 100 people and will be operated by Jake Knotek, who grew up in nearby River Falls, Wisconsin, and previously operated a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Rockford, Illinois.

Free Food Offered On Opening Day
Chick-fil-A is also bringing back its cow-themed promotion for the openings.
Customers who arrive wearing cow print or other cow-themed attire on each restaurant's opening day can receive one free entrée or kids meal, while supplies last. The offer is limited to one per person and does not require a purchase, according to the company.
Eligible breakfast items include a Chicken Biscuit, Egg White Grill or four-count Chick-n-Minis. Lunch and dinner options include a Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, eight-count original or grilled nuggets, or a five-count nugget kids meal.
Chick-fil-A said it is also donating $50,000 to Second Harvest Heartland in connection with the two openings, with $25,000 donated in honor of each restaurant. Both locations will participate in the company's Shared Table program, which directs surplus food to local nonprofit organizations.
Chick-fil-A currently has 28 restaurants in Minnesota, including 21 in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
The Shakopee and Stillwater openings will bring the statewide total to 30.
