• 16th annual Trinona returns to Winona this weekend (wxow.com) — Hundreds of athletes will descend on Winona this weekend for the 16th annual Trinona, bringing two days of triathlon-style races for kids and adults plus some temporary road closures. Organizers still need volunteers to help with check-in, course safety, and finish-line duties. Proceeds support youth mental health programs and scholarships for local students pursuing mental health careers. 
• Donald Joseph Leivermann (monroecountyherald.com) — Winona readers may remember Donald Joseph Leivermann from his days studying at St. Mary’s College before a long, devoted career in health care administration. His family shares warm memories of his love for sports, teaching grandkids games, and his deep faith. He died May 3 at age 85, with a private service and burial already held.
