• ISD 518 Operations Committee discuss 10-year plan for LTFM bond (dglobe.com) — Worthington’s ISD 518 is advancing a Long-Term Facilities Maintenance bond that would fund roof, window and door repairs starting in 2027 while slightly raising residential taxes and easing costs for many ag landowners. The operations committee also reviewed a positive preliminary budget tied to the bond, a new gymnastics cooperative, tax abatements, and policy updates that shape local school operations. 
• Come hungry: Regatta food vendors offer a variety of eats (dglobe.com) — Food lovers in Worthington can sample everything from cheese curds and smoked meats to Asian dishes, tacos, lemonade and mini donuts at the 2026 Worthington Windsurfing Regatta and Music Festival. Food vendors open at 11 a.m. Friday and Saturday, giving residents plenty of time to explore the long list of booths and treats on Sailboard Beach.
• MCC's Rachael Huso places ninth in state golf tourney (dglobe.com) — Murray County Central’s girls golf team reached state by winning the Section 3A championship in Worthington, then finished fourth overall while senior Rachael Huso placed ninth individually. The story recaps how southwest Minnesota golfers, including MCC boys qualifier Kaden Landsman, fared at the state tournaments after advancing through Worthington’s sectional meet.
