⢠Reminders from Biloxi Police Department ahead of Scrapin' the Coast 2026 (wxxv25.com) ā Biloxi Police are warning Scrapinā the Coast visitors that pop-up events will not be allowed in the city and that Mississippiās squatted vehicle law will be strictly enforced. Officers say vehicles with front fenders raised four or more inches over the rear risk stops, citations, or on-the-spot corrections when the show hits the Coast Coliseum June 26ā28.

⢠The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (MDMR) Offering Free 2026 ServSafe Course (perishablenews.com) ā Seafood workers in and around Biloxi can sign up now for a free, all-day ServSafe food safety certification course on Tuesday, July 7 at the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum on 1st Street. Space is limited to 25 Mississippi seafood industry participants, so advance online registration is strongly encouraged, and a valid ID will be required at checkāin.

⢠Hundreds gather to watch South MS release of one of world's rarest sea turtles (sunherald.com) ā In Biloxi, hundreds watched as a rare Kempās ridley sea turtle named Goose was released into the Mississippi Sound after rehabilitation by IMMS and Mississippi State University. Scientists say our shallow, crustacean-rich waters are prime habitat for this endangered species and urge local fishermen to report accidental catches through IMMSās community hotline to protect both turtles and people.
