Lincoln County Jail docket: 7 arrests made on weapons-related charges (dailyleader.com) — Brookhaven-area law enforcement recorded multiple arrests between April 6 and 12, including several local residents facing weapons-related and assault charges. The Lincoln County Jail docket also lists DUI, drug, shoplifting, and public intoxication cases. All listed individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

(natchezdemocrat.com) — Brookhaven Academy’s baseball team edged Cathedral Catholic 4-2 at home, powered by a dominant six-inning, 10-strikeout performance from starter Carter Spring. Despite strong pitching and solid defense from Cathedral, the Green Wave’s ongoing struggles at the plate kept them from capitalizing on opportunities in Tuesday’s road matchup.
   

3. Homochitto River bridge project nearer to completion (dailyleader.com) — Major road work around Lincoln County, including new roundabouts at the Brookway Boulevard I-55 interchange and resurfacing on I-55, will continue into 2026 and 2027, affecting many Brookhaven-area commutes. Additional bridge, overlay, and tree-removal projects across Franklin, Lawrence, Lincoln, and Pike counties aim to improve safety and traffic flow throughout southwest Mississippi.
   

4. Man charged with stealing trucks from Adams County business (wjtv.com) — A Brookhaven teenager has been charged in Adams County after investigators linked him to the theft of two work trucks from a Highway 61 business. Deputies say he was arrested in Louisiana while driving one of the vehicles, and the case remains under investigation with possible additional charges.
