• Florence man gets 20 years in domestic violence case (wapt.com) — A Florence resident has been sentenced to 20 years in state custody after pleading guilty to aggravated domestic violence stemming from a 2025 incident at a Florence home. Local police and Rankin County deputies responded to the disturbance, stopped the suspect at the scene, and prosecutors say their quick action helped prevent further harm. The case concluded with sentencing in Rankin County Circuit Court last month.
