Bond revoked for man accused of arson attempt at ex-girlfriend's home (wdam.com) ā Laurel residents should know that a man accused of a violent incident at his ex-girlfriendās home in the city has had his bond revoked after a court appearance in Laurel Municipal Court. Police say he arrived intoxicated, allegedly assaulted people at the home, and poured gasoline on the porch before officers intervened. A revocation hearing is set for Monday.

Joint narcotics investigation in Laurel leads to 2 arrests, drug and firearm seizures (darkhorsepressnow.com) ā Laurel police and the Jones County Sheriffās Department just wrapped a joint narcotics operation that brought multiple arrests, drugs, cash, and a firearm off local streets. Officers executed a search warrant on North 3rd Avenue and made a separate Highway 84 traffic-stop bust, and investigators say more charges or arrests connected to the Laurel-centered probe could still follow.

3. 2026 Mississippi Pinnacle Award Winners Announced at April 14 Gala (hubcityspokes.com) ā Laurel can celebrate a statewide spotlight: Dr. Katrina Cox and the cast of The Color Purple at Laurel Little Theatre earned the Jan Lacy Small Town Event Award at the Mississippi Pinnacle Awards. The Hattiesburg gala honored 40 finalists from across the state and raises funds for student sales and marketing scholarships.
