ā¢ Mississippi Supreme Court upholds Waveland's approval of North Beach Blvd. development (wlox.com) ā Waveland residents should know the Mississippi Supreme Court has upheld the cityās approval of a 19-lot Beach Walk residential development near North Beach Boulevard, ending years of legal challenges. Justices found the city followed its ordinances and could allow smaller lots under its planned development rules, affirming the Board of Aldermenās conditional-use and preliminary plat approvals.

ā¢ Mississippi 811 talks fiber-optic expansion with Picayune (picayuneitem.com) ā Waveland was at the table as Mississippi 811 and several South Mississippi cities met in Picayune to coordinate the regionās fast-moving fiber-optic expansion. New state rules now require a digital 811 response before any digging, shifting liability and making communication between contractors, utilities, and city officials more important for protecting underground infrastructure.
