• Monitor lizard found in south St. Louis County storm drain (ksdk.com) — A large monitor lizard, now nicknamed Gojira, was rescued from a storm drain near Niles Place and Daisy Lane in Affton and is being cared for by St. Louis County Animal Care and Control. Officials say the tropical reptile can't survive a Missouri winter, and if no owner comes forward, adoption will require proof of proper knowledge and care.
