• Lebanon man drowns in Niangua River (ky3.com) — A Lebanon man drowned Wednesday afternoon in the Niangua River near the Tunnel Dam Power Plant, southwest of Camdenton, after becoming trapped in a low head dam. Camdenton-area fire districts, state troopers, and county responders tried to revive him but he was pronounced dead at the scene, marking the fifth drowning in central Missouri this year.
   

• Camdenton man seriously injured, arrested after single-vehicle crash (komu.com) — A 23-year-old Camdenton man was seriously hurt Wednesday night after his vehicle left the roadway, went through a yard and creek, and struck a tree, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Troopers say he was not wearing a seat belt and was later arrested on suspicion of DWI and several traffic violations before being released for medical treatment.
   

• Montgomery County approves a tax incentive package for Google data center (komu.com) — Missouri’s data center boom is drawing scrutiny, and Camdenton has already responded by passing a one-year moratorium on new data center applications and construction. While Montgomery County advances a massive tax incentive package for a Google facility, Camdenton residents should know their city is tapping the brakes to study potential local impacts first.
