The City has accepted a bid on a water detention basin project in the Augustine Heights subdivision. Β The basin will be located at the Southwest corner of Forest Run Drive and Forest Hills Drive. Β It will replace the current basin and will have triple the amount of water storage than the existing one. Β Once completed,Β more water will be Β retained and released over time, improving the ability of the ravine that leads to Flat Creek to handle the surface water flows in storm events. This should significantly improve storm water issues in the subdivision; creating less flooding of yards and streets as well as help with the erosion of the ravine and creek bank. Β Work will commence as soon as possible.
