Her life was filled with close friendships, community involvement, and deep devotion to her children and grandchildren, who now cherish memories of her humor, independence, and generous spirit. 
• SATE's 'Confetti Kids' is sobering look at Coldwater Creek and nuclear waste (laduenews.com) — Florissant families affected by Coldwater Creek's radioactive contamination are central to the real-world crisis explored in SATE Ensemble Theatre's new drama "Confetti Kids." The play, staged at The Chapel in St. Louis, follows a nuclear scientist and mother confronting cancer, government inaction, and the long shadow of childhood days spent in the creek.
• James Thomas Van Steenburg (scdemocratonline.com) — Florissant is where James Van Steenburg's story began in 1962, before life and work eventually took him to Lew Beach, New York, where he recently passed away at 64. Loved for his outdoor spirit, time in his beloved "Coop," and devotion to family, he will be honored at services in New York next month.
