• Man faces charges after shooting at Jefferson County apartment complex (kmov.com) — An Imperial man has been charged after a June 4 shooting at the Lakewood Apartments in Jefferson County, where shots were fired but no one was hurt. Investigators say he allegedly used an AR-style pistol during an argument, damaging nearby apartments. He reportedly told police he fired after being pepper-sprayed and hearing other gunfire, and is jailed without bond. 
• Wallene Rene Frazier (ozarkradionews.com) — Imperial residents are connected to this loss through Wallene Renee Frazier’s son, Derek McGlasson, who lives in Imperial. Frazier, 74, of Glencoe, Arkansas, was a longtime banking professional remembered for her devotion to family, love of crafting and interior design, and her cherished elephant collection. She is survived by her husband, four children, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
