• O'Fallon bans motorized play vehicles from streets, sidewalks and parks (firstalert4.com) — O’Fallon has just banned mini bikes, go-karts, motorized scooters, and electric skateboards from all city streets, sidewalks, and parks, limiting them to private property only. Police say the move is meant to prevent serious accidents involving kids, while some council members and parents question whether a full ban goes too far and suggest age or speed-based rules instead. 
• 140 Players Advance to Missouri Amateur; 4 Spots Remain for Last Chance Qualifying (mykdkd.com) — Golfers in O’Fallon just helped shape the field for the 119th Missouri Amateur Championship, with 28 players qualifying at The Falls on June 4. Their scores, along with results from four other Missouri sites, leave only four spots up for grabs at a Last Chance Qualifier in Rolla on June 11.
• St. Charles County Council considers a pause on apartments in unincorporated county (midriversnewsmagazine.com) — St. Charles County is considering a six-month pause on new apartment zoning in unincorporated areas, echoing a moratorium previously proposed in O’Fallon and approved in Dardenne Prairie. Supporters say the break would let officials align apartment growth with the county’s Master Plan and strained infrastructure, while some council members worry the timing around November elections could make it look political.
