The Planning Commission backed changes requiring developers to submit detailed impact statements, and the Board of Aldermen will now decide whether to adopt the added protections at its upcoming meeting.
   

• Fire destroys house east of Sunrise Beach, one firefighter treated (dailydispatch.com) — Osage Beach firefighters helped battle a major house fire east of Sunrise Beach early Tuesday, where a two‑story home collapsed and was destroyed but a neighboring house was saved from burning. Crews worked for nearly three hours using hand lines, an aerial ladder, and a fire boat; one firefighter was treated on scene for heat exhaustion while state investigators review the cause.
   

• Tegethoff Says He Is Still A Developer & Owner On Oasis Project, Clarifies Bankruptcy Filing (lakeexpo.com) — A key Oasis at Lakeport developer is insisting his company remains a contractually named developer and significant owner in the Lakeport Village project that includes Osage Beach as a public partner. Jeff Tegethoff says his firm’s Chapter 11 filing is a strategic reorganization to protect its stakes and resolve disputes with other investors, while reaffirming his commitment to seeing the large resort and entertainment complex completed.
