Launched June 9 after a ribbon-cutting at Missouri Highlands’ Physician Park campus, the $720,000 project aims to ease transportation barriers and improve women’s health access across the region.

Pershing Medical Center to offer cochlear implant program and services (kfvs12.com) — Veterans in Poplar Bluff with severe hearing loss will soon have local cochlear implant evaluations, programming, and follow-up care at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center starting June 17. Instead of repeated trips to St. Louis or other cities, most visits can now happen close to home, making it easier to qualify, adjust devices, and stick with long-term care.

Royals call up Kameron Misner, Kyle Isbel to Injured List (royalsreview.com) — Poplar Bluff native Kameron Misner has been called up to the Kansas City Royals, giving local baseball fans a hometown player to watch in the big leagues. The 28-year-old outfielder earned the promotion with strong power, speed, and improved plate discipline at Triple-A Omaha after previous MLB experience with Tampa Bay.
