• Two Arrested in Cadet Burglary and Arson Case (mymoinfo.com) — A Potosi man and a Cadet man are jailed on high bond after deputies linked them to a Cadet-area burglary where firearms, a vehicle, trailer, and four-wheeler were stolen and a home and shed were set on fire. Washington County authorities say both men face multiple arson, burglary, and stealing charges, with court hearings set soon in Washington County Court. 
• Craig Wood one of 8 prisoners condemned in Missouri; none has an execution date, one was sentenced to death in 1984 (sgfcitizen.org) — Potosi residents should know the state’s condemned inmates are housed at Potosi Correctional Center, even though Missouri no longer has a formal “death row.” A new analysis of Missouri’s death penalty shows eight men currently condemned without execution dates, explores decades of execution history, and highlights how slowly capital cases now move through the courts.
