• Belton neighbor pushback pauses land-use changes for warehouse development (kshb.com) — Belton has paused a proposed land-use change that could have opened the door to large warehouse-style development near East 195th Street and Peculiar Drive after strong neighbor pushback. Residents specifically pointed to the massive warehouses across I-49 in Raymore as an example of what they don’t want, prompting city staff to withdraw the map amendment and promise fuller public review if a rezoning plan returns.
