• Rolla partners with MDC to install floating wetlands at Ber Juan Lake (mo.gov) — Rolla is rolling out new floating wetlands at Ber Juan Lake to tackle stubborn algae blooms, improve fishing, and boost wildlife habitat. Working with Missouri’s Department of Conservation and using local park funds, the city is adding multiple wetland installations and a new pollinator area over the next few years, inviting residents to see the changes at 1200 Holloway Street. 
• United Way awards $375K in community support grants (newstribune.com) — Rolla residents will see new support for local services, including secure lockers at The Rolla Mission and upgraded kitchen and safety equipment at KVC Behavioral Healthcare and Russell House. These grants are part of $375,089 in United Way Community Support Grants and a new adolescent behavioral health initiative spanning Central Missouri.
• Helping Missouri immigrants detained by ICE (kcur.org) — After an ICE detainee died by suicide in Phelps County Jail, Rolla residents formed Abide in Love to support immigrants and their families, and the effort has since spread beyond Missouri. The segment, produced for Kansas City Today, also looks at rising ICE arrests under President Trump’s new term and how volunteers are responding to ongoing fear in immigrant communities.
