Rabbi Levi and Devora Leah Kesselman are settling in, building a welcoming home for Jewish life, and inviting local residents to help shape the center's programs and infrastructure as it begins serving nearly 1,000 area Jews.

North St. Louis leaders and residents hopeful after court clears city to obtain dozens of decaying properties (firstalert4.com) — North St. Louis residents just got a major boost as a judge cleared the city to seize 89 long-vacant, blighted properties near the NGA site through eminent domain, opening the door to new development. Neighbors and Alderman Rasheen Aldridge hope this step finally brings back shops, safer streets, and real investment to Jeff-Vander-Lou and surrounding North City blocks.

As St. Louis Public Schools weighs restructuring and closure plan, teacher union offers chance for community feedback (kmov.com) — St. Louis Public Schools families face big changes as the district considers closing or repurposing a dozen schools, from Hamilton and Ames to Meramec and Shenandoah, plus ending high school programs at McKinley and Clyde C. Miller. The teachers' union is holding its own meetings to explain the plan, gather parent feedback, and warn that support staff jobs could be at risk.

Power's latest satisfaction study, though its score did tick up slightly. Officials haven't publicly responded yet, leaving questions about what improvements might be coming for local passengers.

St. Louis CITY SC Eliminates Colorado Rapids From 2026 U.S. Open Cup Semifinals (news-usa.today) — St. Louis CITY SC has powered into the 2026 U.S. Open Cup final after a dominant 3–0 semifinal win over the Colorado Rapids, extending a remarkable unbeaten run. The four-year-old club, led by coach Yoann Damet and captain Roman Bürki, will now travel on October 21 to face either Columbus Crew or Orlando City SC with a national trophy on the line.
