• Gilman City man charged with burglary, assault, and resisting arrest in Trenton (kttn.com) — Residents should know that a Gilman City man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly entering a home on Main Street in Trenton, assaulting a resident, and later resisting officers at Wright Memorial Hospital. He is being held without bond at the Grundy County Law Enforcement Center while the case proceeds in Grundy County Circuit Court.
   

• James (JC) Smith, age 69 (kttn.com) — Family and friends with Trenton ties are mourning James “JC” Smith, a Trenton-born graduate of Trenton Senior High School whose graveside service will be held Saturday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Trenton. The longtime lineman and avid outdoorsman leaves behind a close-knit family, many hobbies, and a legacy of warm storytelling and community connections.
   

• Rande Marshall McCrary (kmzu.com) — Longtime EMS professional Rande Marshall McCrary, who spent many years working with the Grundy County Ambulance in Trenton and training providers through North Central Missouri College, has died at 67. Friends and colleagues across Missouri remember his decades of service, leadership on state EMS boards, and dedication to honoring fallen EMS workers. Services will be held June 20 in Breckenridge.
